Description
Concentric Lug Butterfly Valve for Isolation and Flow ControlThe Sharpe Series 17 is a rubber-lined, concentric butterfly valve available in wafer, lug, and flanged styles from 2″ through 48″. This 2″ lug configuration with ductile iron body, 316 stainless steel disc, 416 stainless steel shaft, and EPDM seat is rated for 200 psi CWP and handles bidirectional flow as well as dead-end service. This allows downstream piping to be isolated and serviced without depressurizing the full system. The pinless disc and shaft design eliminates a common failure point, and the epoxy-coated body provides corrosion resistance in wet or chemically active environments. The valve meets MSS SP-67 and carries MSS SP-25 markings. It’s compatible with Class 125 and 150 flanges, including ASME B16.5 flanges without separation gaskets. The EPDM seat is rated from -30°F to +275°F.The ISO 5211 mounting pad makes the Series 17 directly automatable with electric or pneumatic actuators. This is an important consideration for data center liquid cooling loops where precise, remotely operated flow control is needed to manage dynamic thermal loads across cooling distribution units and rack-level manifolds.
