Description

Large-Bore Flanged Anti-Siphon Solenoid Valve for High-Flow Industrial & Cooling ApplicationsThe Morrison Bros. 710FSS Series 3-inch flanged solenoid valve delivers high-flow anti-siphon protection for bulk storage tank isolation and main header shutoff in large-volume fluid systems. With a CV of 91 and a 3-inch ANSI 150 RF flanged connection, this valve is sized for primary coolant trunk lines in data center liquid cooling infrastructure, including bulk glycol reservoir isolation, CDU supply header emergency shutoff, and anti-siphon protection on large immersion cooling fluid storage systems. FKM seals provide strong resistance to dielectric fluids, hydrocarbon-based coolants, and chemical solvents, making this seal material the appropriate choice for fluoropolymer and synthetic-fluid immersion cooling loops. Note that the 3-inch model uses an aluminum piston rather than stainless steel. In glycol-water circuits, fluid chemistry and inhibitor levels should be monitored to manage galvanic compatibility between the aluminum piston and the 304SS body.Like the 2-inch 710FSS model, this valve operates on a zero-pressure-differential hung piston design and includes an integral thermal relief to vent expansion pressure back through the system. This is critical for large, high-thermal-mass coolant headers subject to significant temperature swings. The Class H continuous-duty coil supports uninterrupted 24/7 energized operation, and the NEMA 3/4X/7/9-rated explosion-proof enclosure protects against moisture, condensation, and hazardous-location exposure. Maximum operating pressure differential drops to 45 PSI at the 3″ bore size, so be sure to confirm system pressure requirements before specifying. A 100-mesh inlet strainer is strongly recommended and required to maintain warranty coverage.Key specifications:Body: 304 stainless steelPiston: AluminumSeals: FKMFlange size: 3 in. | Orifice: 3.0 in. | CV: 91Operating pressure differential: 0–45 PSIMaximum fluid temperature: 302°FPower consumption: 48W | Standard voltage: 120V AC (multiple AC/DC voltages available)Enclosure: NEMA 3, 4X, 7, 9 — watertight, explosion-proof; Groups C and DConnections: Flanged, ANSI 150 RFMaximum viscosity: 60 centistokesUL Certified (Class I Div. 1, Groups C&D; Class II Div. 1, Groups E, F&G; Class III) | cULus ListedNOTE: Product can only be pumped in one direction, the direction of the flow arrow.
