# Lug Style High Performance Butterfly Valves have been designed and manufactured for fluid control handling. The valve features an ISO 5211 mounting pad with square shaft which permits direct mounting of lever handles, gear operators or any type of actuator. Because of this direct mount design, the packing gland is located below the mounting pad and can be adjusted in the field without removing the handle, gear or actuator.
J-Flow uses a square stem which means the disc is not secured to the stem with small pins. These small pins can easily come loose during service, as they loosen the valve will no longer operate fully as the stem will be turning inside the disc. The square stem also makes it possible to change from a handle, to gear operator or an actuator without the use of a coupling.
